Chapman’s Walker Loses in Semifinals

Second-seeded Young Min Kwon of Millersville (Pa.) University beat third-seeded Miles Walker of Chapman College, 6-3, 7-5, Saturday to advance to the final of the NCAA Division II men’s tennis championships at Cal State Northridge.
Min Kwon will meet fourth-seeded Pat Emmet of Rollins College, who defeated fifth-seeded Mauricio Achondo of Cal State Hayward, 7-6, 2-6, 6-3.
In the doubles semifinals, Barry Hancock and Paul Wekesa of Chapman defeated Robert Green and Barry Pelts of Rollins, 7-5, 3-6, 7-6.
Hancock and Wekesa will meet fifth-seeded Steve Enriquez and Ken Olivier of East Texas State, who defeated Min Kwon and Oliver Merrill of Millersville, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.
