The vice president of a catering company was fatally wounded during a robbery in El Segundo, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department reported. A spokesman said Sandra Sanders, 43, of Culver City, was shot in the chest when she surprised two men during a robbery at Atlas Foods International. The bandits, described as Latino men, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 7, 160 pounds with short black hair, fled in a 1970-73 dark gray Camaro or Firebird, investigators said. The victim died at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Hawthorne.
