Jetliner Narrowly Misses Small Plane Near Seattle

SEATTLE — An Alaska Airlines jet came within several feet of a small plane apparently in restricted airspace during the jet’s approach to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport officials said,
An airline spokesman said the jetliner had to level its descent Friday in a slight evasive action to stay safely above the twin-engine plane about two miles north of the airport. Federal Aviation Administration officials said they were investigating the incident.
