Irvine : Woman Is in Critical Condition After Beating

A 31-year-old Irvine woman was beaten severely on the head in her home Tuesday and was in critical condition, police said.
Police, who were summoned by the woman, said they found no evidence of a burglary or forced entry in the 4 a.m. attack. “With her injury she is sketchy about details,” Lt. Michael White said. “We don’t know what occurred, and she can’t remember where she was last night.”
The woman, whom police declined to identify, lives in a Woodbridge tract.
She was taken to the Healthcare Medical Center of Tustin.
