Music maestro Lawrence Welk will be back on television this fall--via 52 syndicated musical programs from the last decade that will be delivered for airing on public television.
Release of these programs came about as a result of the favorable viewer response to last March’s PBS documentary, “Lawrence Welk: Television’s Music Man,” which was aired during a PBS membership drive.
Welk, 84, was last seen on commercial stations in 1985. His weekly music series had a 27-year run on network and independent stations.
