St. Genevieve Coach Takes Post at Salesian

Dave Galarneau, varsity baseball coach at St. Genevieve High, has accepted an administrative position at Salesian High in Boyle Heights.

Galarneau, who has more than 300 wins in 23 years as a baseball coach, headed the St. Genevieve program the past two seasons. The school won the Santa Fe League title in 1986. Galarneau, 58, has coached at Bell-Jeff, Providence, and Chaminade.

He will serve as a vice principal at Salesian.
