Biaggi Trial Jury Selected

United Press International

A jury of nine men and three women was selected today for the trial of Rep. Mario Biaggi (D-N.Y.), charged with accepting two Florida vacations from a former Brooklyn Democratic boss in return for helping a failing ship repair company.

The selection was completed in less than a day and included a janitor, a transit worker, a cook, and a part-time musician. Biaggi’s attorney objected that the government had “systematically excluded Italian-Americans” from the jury, but the judge told the lawyer to submit his objection in writing.
