Wang Pei-Ching threw a two-hitter and hit a home run to lead Hua Lian of Taiwan to a 7-0 victory over Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, in the opening game of the Little League World Series at Williamsport, Pa.
Taiwan is bidding to become the 17th Far East team to win the Little League title in the last 21 years.
