Toyota Motor’s earnings slid 21.5% to $1.4 billion in the year ended June 30, compared to fiscal 1986. Sales fell 4.5% to $42.4 billion for the year. Japan’s largest car company attributed the decline primarily to the yen’s strength against the dollar.
