Gov. Romer’s Son Fined in Driving Case

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. — The 19-year-old son of Gov. Roy Romer received a suspended 10-day jail term and a $500 fine after pleading guilty to a reduced charge of driving with impaired ability.
Tom Romer had been charged with drunken driving.
Summit County Judge David Lass on Wednesday also ordered Romer to pay $50 to charity, $240 in court costs and $18 to the county victim’s fund.
Dillon police arrested Romer on June 5 for investigation of charges of driving under the influence and careless driving.
