Attorney Marvin Mitchelson has been retained by the pregnant wife of Houston Rockets forward Ralph Sampson to handle her possible divorce from the athlete.
Mitchelson was hired by Alieze Dial, who married Sampson about eight months ago and is five months pregnant. Mitchelson said he is attempting to help the couple reconcile their differences.
Sampson and Dial were secretly married in Houston by a justice of the peace Dec. 3. Sampson, however, failed to show up for a formal wedding ceremony last month in Anniston, Ala.
