Rancho California Land Bought for Golf Community

The Buie Corp., San Diego, has paid $13 million for 500 acres in Rancho California known as Villa Santa Fe that will be developed as a golf course-oriented adult community with about 2,000 dwelling units.
The Hoffman Co., an Irvine land brokerage firm, represented both Buie and the seller, Kaiser Development Co., in the transaction.
Byron R. Hoffman, principal in the Hoffman Co., said that the transaction was part of a total of nearly $20 million in land sales handled by his firm in the last 45 days.
