A battle between the National Enquirer and a British tabloid that published the Joan Collins-Peter Holm wedding photos will be decided in Miami, a federal judge has ruled. Rupert Murdoch’s 5-million circulation News of the World published shots of the couple’s private November, 1985, Las Vegas wedding four days after the ceremony. The Florida-based Enquirer filed suit, saying it had paid $160,000 for the exclusive rights to the photos. Murdoch’s News Group claims that it secured a valid permissions contract from the Enquirer for the photos.
