Richard L. Casey, 41, has been named president and chief executive of California Biotechnology Inc., Mountain View. Casey, currently executive vice president of Alza Corp., will assume his new responsibilities effective Dec. 14. Upon joining Cal Bio, Casey will also become a member of the board.
