Harvey Schiller, Southeastern Conference commissioner, submitted his formal resignation as executive director of the United States Olympic Committee, a position he assumed Jan. 4.
Schiller said last week that he would resign to return to the SEC, a position he held for 15 months before becoming the USOC’s executive director.
USOC President Robert Helmick said that Baaron Pittenger, acting executive director for four months last year after Gen. George Miller resigned under pressure, would replace Schiller.
