College Basketball : Smith Leads Hot Master’s Team to Season-High 107-Point Game

The Master’s College exploded Friday night for a season-high point total in a 107-48 rout over West Coast Christian at home.

Kenny Smith recorded the Mustangs’ first triple-double this season with 22 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in the NAIA District III game. Rocky Shipes also scored 22 points for Master’s (8-15, 5-5 in conference play).

Champ Pannell led last-place West Coast Christian (3-18, 2-9) with 21 points.

WOMEN

Valley 83, San Bernardino Valley 73--Valley won for the 15th time in its last 16 games in a Southern California Conference contest at San Bernardino Valley.

Traci Atkins led the second-place Monarchs (22-3, 8-1) with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Bernadette Tillis added 19 points--including five three-point shots--and 11 assists.

Janine Crabtree and Elizabeth Sams each scored 16 points to lead San Bernardino Valley (16-9, 5-3 in conference).
