Community College Baseball : Fullerton Comes Back to Tie OCC

Orange Coast College and Fullerton tied, 5-5, in the opening round of the Southwestern baseball tournament Friday in a game that was called after eight innings because of the tournament’s 2 1/2-hour time limit.
OCC advances to the winner’s bracket on total hits, 10-8.
Fullerton scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth to tie the score, 5-5.
Mike Oziminski singled with one out. Richard Archuleta and Scott Einhorn then walked to load the bases. Deryk Hudson hit a sacrifice fly for one run and Phil Diplock singled in the tying run for Fullerton (1-1-1).
Einhorn also had two triples for Fullerton.
Greg O’Halloran hit a home run in the third inning for OCC (4-1-1). OCC led, 4-0, in the seventh, but Fullerton rallied for three runs in the seventh.
