‘BELLMAN AND TRUE’
Monicas, 12:30 and 6:30 p . m .
There are layers upon layers in this thoroughly satisfying bank heist thriller, which adds children to the usual cast of safe-crackers and alarm experts. Bernard Hill may not yet be a household name or face, but his complex and brilliant performance as a near-alcoholic computer expert unwillingly dragged into an elaborate bank caper should change that, once and for all. Director Richard Loncraine keeps his rich visual style tinged with a disturbing suggestion of evil and his action unrelenting. RECOMMENDED.
