Four Soviet and two National Hockey League teams will participate in a series of games during the 1988-89 season, the Soviet newspaper Izvestia reported.
The newspaper said two NHL teams will play 4 or 5 games in the Soviet Union in September, and four Soviet teams will play 4 or 5 games in North America in December and January.
The story didn’t name the participating teams and said some details remain to be ironed out.
