Local News in Brief : Penalties for Permit Violations
- Share via
The Hermosa Beach City Council has decided tentatively to fine violators of conditional use permits. The city now can revoke conditional use permits if there are significant and consistent violations, but there is no lesser penalty for less serious offenses.
The proposed ordinance, which was approved on introduction Tuesday, would set a $50 fine for the first violation, with an escalating scale for repeated violations in the same year up to $300 for each infraction. The council will vote on adoption of the ordinance at its March 22 meeting.
