Tobe Reed; Performed on Television, Radio

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. — Tobe Reed, former radio and television performer and newspaper columnist, has died at the age of 76.
Reed died March 3 at Eisenhower Memorial Hospital.
Reed hosted TV’s “Top Dollar” game show in the 1950s and performed with George Burns and Gracie Allen on their radio show. He also was heard on the radio programs “Fitch’s Bandwagon” and “Duffy’s Tavern.”
Reed, who also worked as a columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle, is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth; a son, Tobe Jr.; a daughter, Melinda, and two grandsons.
