WINTER PARK, Fla. — An official team of Lutheran and Roman Catholic scholars says it is working toward agreements on the role of Mary and the saints in Christian faith.

At a meeting here, members of the Lutheran-Catholic dialogue team said they expect to publish their conclusions in 1989. The team previously agreed that Mary was a model of faith, devotion and spirituality.
