In Munich, West Germany, more than 30 people were injured and 27 arrested when soccer fans, angered by their team’s defeat, went on a rampage, police said Sunday.
Munich police said the trouble began after Bayern Munich defeated Schalke 04 by a score of 8-1 in a match late Saturday.
Police said at least 30 people were injured after being bitten by police dogs and that others were injured in the melee.
Five police officers were also injured, one seriously, officials said.
