Insurance Regulations

The insurance industry’s illegal conspiracy to stop liability coverage for cities which are too small to be self-insured is reminiscent of its boycott in which the industry also created a crisis for medical doctors. The malpractice boycott succeeded in stampeding the Legislature into passing restrictive legislation which is now denying the injured their day in court. This is also their goal in a multimillion dollar campaign for no-fault insurance (no-benefits insurance).
These conspiracies are intended to influence the courts and Legislature to limit and eliminate the injured victim’s rights to fair compensation and access to the courts.
We need an independent state Insurance Commission and state Bar to protect the public.
