Higher Quality Oil Best for Turbo Engines

BRADFORD, Pa. — Automobiles with turbo engines need a higher quality of oil for best performance.

In these engines, says Kendall Refining Co., the turbocharger can run at very high temperatures as a result of the exhaust gas going through it. When the engine is shut down, residual oil is subject to extreme heat and could leave a deposit.

Special, high-performance turbo oils are formulated with good detergent characteristics to disperse these deposits, says the company.
