In Pacific Coast League softball:
Trabuco Hills 9, Laguna Beach 3--Marta Bickert (10-12) hit a solo home run and pitched a one-hitter for host Trabuco Hills. Lisa Amato was 3 for 4 with two RBIs for Trabuco Hills (11-12, 4-5).
In Sunrise League softball:
Rosary 16, Bishop Conaty 0--Jennifer Salazar threw a perfect game for visiting Rosary (16-6, 9-0). Salazar, a freshman left-hander who is 9-3, had nine strikeouts and no walks in her second no-hitter this season. She also was 3 for 4, including a double and a grand slam. Anne Haraksin was 3 for 4 and Louise Grimm 3 for 5 for Rosary.
In nonleague softball:
Claremont 17, Van Horn 16--Barb Dolan went 3 for 5 with two singles and a double and had five RBIs to lead Claremont at Van Horn High in Riverside. Dolan (1-3), who also scored three runs, pitched three innings for the victory. Hope Norris was 2 for 3 with a single and a triple and four runs scored for Claremont (5-6).
In the Orange League individual tennis tournament:
Danny Yu of Valencia defeated Ryan Nakenoga, his Valencia teammate, 6-1, 6-2, to win the league singles title at Anaheim Hills Racket Club. The top two finishers in the tournament advance to the Southern Section Individual Tournament on May 21. Eric Flint and Colin Robinson pof Valencia defeated Gerrod Van Engen and Charles Lee also of Valencia to win the doubles title, 6-1, 6-1.
