Bob Brodhead, fired as athletic director two years ago by Louisiana State after four years of turmoil at that school, has been hired as acting athletic director at Southeastern Louisiana to develop a five-year plan to upgrade the department.

“I think it’s an opportunity to utilize the same approach I used at LSU,” Brodhead said. “We want a broad-based program. I think it’s an opportunity for Southeastern to open up a lot of new vistas.”
