Weekend Forecast Calls for Typical June Overcast

San Diegans can expect the weekend’s weather to flow along as usual for June: night and morning low clouds and sunny afternoons.
Although recent days have been rather sunny, “June Gloom” is here and forecasters at the National Weather Service warn sunbathers that morning low clouds are expected to periodically hang around the beaches and coastal areas throughout the month.
Weekend highs along the beaches will reach 63-68 degrees. Coastal temperatures will remain in the upper 60s to low 70s throughout the weekend, with overnight lows in the mid 50s.
Inland highs this weekend will fall between 65 and 72 degrees, with lows between 52 and 60.
Highs in the mountains are expected to reach 67-77 degrees dropping to overnight lows of 45-55 degrees. Deserts will have occasional winds of 15 to 25 m.p.h. in the afternoons and evenings, with highs reaching 102-108 degrees. Overnight lows will be in the upper 60s.
