Following the June 10 earthquake, Channel 4 News anchor Bill Lagattuta “joked” that it was caused by the movements of Phil Donahue’s guests (the severely obese).
Al Campanis and Jimmy Snyder lost their jobs for racist comments they made into open microphones. Lagattuta’s comment was just as insensitive and just as wrong. He, too, should lose his job.
