Orange County Sheriff’s deputies were searching Tuesday for an inmate who escaped from the minimum-security James A. Musick honor farm early Tuesday morning.
When deputies took a 2:30 a.m. head count at the facility near El Toro, Victor Ocampo was missing, Sheriff’s Lt. Richard J. Olson said.
Ocampo, 23, who was serving a sentence for burglary, was scheduled for release Nov. 16, he said, adding: “He’s not considered dangerous.”
Ocampo was described as being 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 145 pounds, with black hair and black eyes. His last known residence was in Dana Point, Olson said.
