Record Reward in Envoy’s Death

WASHINGTON — The United States today offered its largest ever reward--up to $500,000--for information leading to the apprehension and punishment of the killers of Navy Capt. William Nordeen, the American defense attache in Athens who was slain by a car bomb Tuesday. State Department spokeswoman Phyllis Oakley said it was the largest sum offered since a 1984 law authorized rewards to catch terrorists.
