400 Holiday Deaths Seen

CHICAGO — The National Safety Council said Thursday that 400 to 500 people may die in traffic accidents during the Independence Day holiday weekend. The council estimated also that 19,000 to 24,000 people may suffer disabling injuries from traffic accidents. During last year’s July Fourth holiday weekend, 390 people were killed.
