Hostile. Bickering. Unruly. Shoving. Snarling. Yelling obscenities. Infuriated.
In The Times article “Far From Home” (July 9), did these words describe hungry people arguing over a choice tidbit in a garbage can? Or maybe it was some of the angry homeless jostling to get a chit for a night’s sleep in a fleabag hotel? Or could it have been the disgruntled poor lining up for a free cheese handout?
Naw! It was just some plain, ordinary folks in Orange County demanding that a builder allow them to pay $400,000 for a new house!
