UCI Names Fertig to Fund-Raising Post

Craig Fertig has been named an associate athletic director for development at UC Irvine, the university announced Saturday. Fertig held the same job at USC the past five years.
Fertig, a former head football coach at Oregon State, will be in charge of fund raising for the Irvine athletic department. He will also be the executive director of the UCI Athletic Foundation.
He replaces Mike Carroll, who left Irvine in July for a fund-raising post at Virginia Tech.
