The Go-Between (Channel 28 Sunday at 11:20 p.m.): Joseph Losey’s wonderfully charged and ambiguous 1971 film of Harold Pinter’s adaptation of the L.P. Hartley story about a secret romance between an aristocrat (Julie Christie) and a farmer (Alan Bates). (2:00)
Ivan the Terrible, Part 1 (A&E; Tuesday at noon): The first of three parts of Sergei Eisenstein’s dense, masterful and spectacular account of the Russian monarch. With an original Prokofiev score. (2:00)
It (A&E; Friday at noon): The 1927 silent from the Elinor Glyn novel that gave the enchanting Clara Bow her immortal tag, the “It Girl.” (1:30)
Hail the Conquering Hero (Channel 5 Saturday at 3:30 a.m.): Classic 1944 Preston Sturges satire about a small-town guy, designated 4-F, who’s mistaken for a war hero. (2:00)
Eyes Without a Face (Z Saturday at 4:30 a.m.): Georges Franju’s elegant, poetic 1960 horror film about a demented doctor (Pierre Brasseur) determined to restore his daughter’s disfigured face. Greatly enhanced by Maurice Jarre’s haunting score. (1:30)
