THE OUTDOORS : Good-Sized Catfish Hit at Vail Lake
- Share via
Catfish, the summertime target of most Southern California fishermen, seem to be the most active at Vail Lake in Riverside County, where anglers have been pulling in good numbers of the fair-sized cats from shore.
Using cut mackerel as bait, Bob and Lucas Blocker of Pasadena teamed to catch 5 catfish weighing 43-pounds 3-ounces, and Rockey Moore of San Bernardino caught 7 weighing 51-pounds 4-ounces, the largest tipping the scale at 13-pounds 4-ounces.
