Myers Is Suspended--What About Kimball?
The U.S. Olympic Committee has an extremely unfair, inconsistent policy in disqualifying athletes. Swimmer Angel Myers was removed from the team for testing positive for drugs.
On the other hand, Bruce Kimball, who committed a much more serious offense, killing two people and injuring six others while driving under the influence, was permitted to compete in the Olympic diving trials.
It makes one wonder whether the U.S. Olympic Committee believes that taking drugs is a greater crime than killing. Or is it just that it favors men’s rights over those of women?
