Escondido Woman Stabbed to Death

An Escondido woman was stabbed to death in her apartment early Sunday, police reported.
The woman, identified as Jo Ann Clemons, 41, was found dead after police forced their way into her apartment in the 1300 block of Grand Avenue.
Police said they responded to complaints from neighbors, who reported hearing a fight and screams in Clemons’ apartment. When police arrived, they knocked on the door but got no answer. They then forced their way in and found the dead woman, who had several stab wounds, including some around her throat.
Police said they have no suspects in the case.
