Standard Pacific L.P. in Costa Mesa said it earned $17.4 million on revenue of $115.5 million during its third quarter ended Sept. 30. That was up 53% from earnings of $11.3 million on revenue of $88.7 million in the year-earlier quarter. For the first 9 months of its fiscal year, the home builder earned $43 million on revenue of $327.3 million, up 37% from earnings of $31.5 million on revenue of $248.1 million in the same period last year. The company credited California’s strong housing market for the increases.
