Cal State Sacramento 60, Cal Lutheran 0--Cal Lutheran completed its descent in Division II football in the Western Football Conference finale for both teams.
Cal Lutheran’s Jim Bees threw 2 interceptions, raising his school record to 23.
Cal Lutheran’s 4-year record in the WFC stands at 2-21, and the Kingsmen finished this season 0-6 in the conference and 2-8 overall.
Sacramento (8-2, 4-2) compiled 329 yards in total offense to Cal Lutheran’s 33 in the first half alone. The Kingsmen managed just 49 yards passing and -16 rushing after 2 quarters.
The Hornets outgained the Kingsmen, 451-58, in total offense.
The host Hornets rolled to a 35-0 halftime advantage as tailback Donald Hair accounted for 4 touchdowns.
Hair scored on a 49-yard pass reception and a 67-yard punt return. He also had touchdown runs of 3 and 2 yards. He amassed 77 yards rushing on 12 carries and had 3 receptions for 56 yards.
Hair’s 4 touchdowns broke a single-game conference mark. The previous record was 3.
Cal Lutheran, meantime, suffered 6 interceptions, 5 in the second half.
