More correspondent-shifting at CBS News: President David Burke has moved some Washington staffers around. Lesley Stahl has been restored to the White House beat and Bob Schieffer goes to Capitol Hill. Schieffer’s arrival there forces a move by Phil Jones to national correspondent, after 12 years for CBS on the congressional beat. Bill Plante, who has been senior White House correspondent since August, 1986, becomes State Department correspondent and will continue as anchor of “CBS Sunday Night News,” the network said.
