Thorn EMI, the London-based entertainment conglomerate, confirmed that it has agreed to purchase SBK Entertainment World Inc. for about $337 million. SBK’s principal asset is a catalogue of some 250,000 songs, including such standards as “Blue Moon,” “Singing in the Rain” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
