49ers at Fresno in Bid for 4th Straight Win

FRESNO — Cal State Long Beach will try for its fourth straight victory today at 5 p.m. in a Big West Conference basketball game against Fresno State.
The 49ers, who made 85% of their free throws in a 74-69 victory over Utah State Tuesday night, are 6-7 overall and 3-1 in the Big West. They are led by guard Darrell Faulkner, who is averaging 12.9 points a game, and center John Hatten, 12.8.
Fresno State (7-5, 2-1) is coming off an 83-77 loss to Nevada Las Vegas Wednesday night. Forward Jervis Cole, who scored 26 points in that game, is the Bulldogs’ leading scorer with an average of 18.7 points a game.
