Thomas E. Bird has been named vice president of Philips Medical Systems North America and general manager of Philips Ultrasound division in Santa Ana. He succeeds B. Robert Feingold, who has left the company. Bird had been chairman, president and chief executive of Lawrence Medical Systems, Camarillo, since 1985. Before that, he spent 10 years with Gould Medical Products Group as president and general manager.
