An Orange company that reconditions storage drums used to hold hazardous and non-hazardous materials was fined $32,000 for violating state regulations, health officials said.
The Ditty Drum Co., Inc., was among five California companies fined by the Department of Health Services after a study of the state’s drum-recycling industry.
State health officials ordered owners of the company at 401 W. Walnut St. to clean up toxic wastes found on their property. Ditty Drum was cited for illegal disposal, failure to properly label containers of hazardous waste, lack of employee training plans and other violations.
