The Preps : Southern Section Badminton Playoffs : La Habra Is Looking to Continue Upsets

La Habra High School’s badminton team will be looking for its second consecutive upset when it travels to third-seeded Nogales for a Southern Section 4-A semifinal playoff match at 3 p.m. today.
La Habra upset second-seeded Estancia, 12-7, last Tuesday in the second round.
Buena Park, the top-seeded team, plays host to fourth-seeded Alhambra in today’s other 4-A semifinal match. The championship match is set for 6 p.m. Thursday at Walnut High School.
In the 3-A division, fourth-seeded Katella plays host to top-seeded Alta Loma today at 3 p.m., and second-seeded Long Beach Jordan is at Rosemead. The 3-A final will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Walnut High School.
