Warm Praise for Special Parent

Although it was quite disturbing to find out that 158 drug babies are born every month in Los Angeles County, it was equally encouraging to know that one woman is providing a safe haven for some of these children.
I want to thank Times Staff Writer Elizabeth Lu for her article “Foster Mom Treats Drug Babies With Love” (Times, May 11).
It is rare that we hear about the courageous, unselfish things people do in this world! Three cheers to foster mom Caroline Mraz for giving her time and love. Such individuals should be acknowledged for their benevolent actions.
