DETROIT — The Buick division of General Motors Corp. today extended its buyer incentive program until July 10, after moves by several other GM divisions and auto makers who hope that such lures will stimulate vehicle sales in the warmer months.
Buick’s program, which had been scheduled to end June 5, offers $500 back on 1989-model Skylark, Skyhawk and Century cars, and rebates ranging from $500 to $1,500 on Regal, Le Sabre, Electra and certain Park Avenue cars.
Like most of GM’s vehicle divisions, Buick is also offering in lieu of cash rebates low-rate financing, which ranges from 2.9% on 24-month loans to 9.9% on 60-month loans.
