KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — With only one passenger booked on today’s flight, state-owned Malaysian Airline System suspended its new service to China, which was launched a week ago at the height of the turmoil there.
The company said that after many cancellations, only one passenger was scheduled to take the weekly 106-seat flight to the southern city of Canton today.
The inaugural flight left with only 42 on board last week after cancellations by more than half the passengers.
