Beverly Hills : More Computer Equipment
More city personnel will be on line as the result of a City Council authorization to buy $216,000 worth of computer hardware and software for use in 12 departments.
The new equipment will include personal computers, printers and terminals, and three hand-held “input devices” that Building and Safety Department inspectors will use at job sites. Inspectors will feed the data into the city’s main computer at day’s end. If the devices work well, 12 more units will be bought.
